PlushBeds has built its brand around sustainable and natural materials, and the Botanical Bliss Mattress is one of the company’s flagship products.
The Botanical Bliss is made with latex, cotton, and wool materials that are all certified organic. The mattress comes in three profiles — 9-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch — each of which is available in medium firm (6) and firm (7) firmness options.
In our in-house Test Lab, we put the Botanical Bliss through a series of tests to identify its pros and cons. We’ll review our findings and go over the construction, pricing, and other key information about this luxury latex mattress.

Testing Team Takeaways
To test the PlushBeds Botanical Bliss Mattress, we had three people on our testing team each take the bed home with them for one week. Here are their initial observations.
Jeremy Klein
Senior Product Testing Manager
Side sleeper
160 pounds
Nightly melatonin user
I don’t always love latex mattresses, but the medium Botanical Bliss felt great. The mattress doesn’t give you a big hug, but when lying on my side I could feel it lightly cradling my hips and shoulders to keep me comfortable and supported.
Daniel Noyed
Senior Product Editor
Back sleeper
165 pounds
Dunks head in ice water to wake up
Unlike Jeremy, I sleep on my back, which made me gravitate toward the firmer model of the Botanical Bliss. It struck a good balance between cushioning and support, and as a plus, it stayed super cool no matter how long I was in bed.
Logan Foley
Editorial Director
Side sleeper
140 pounds
Has too many dogs in the bed
Both models of the Botanical Bliss felt a touch too firm for me, especially since the latex doesn’t really conform to your body that much. Although it’s nice that you can move easily on the mattress, that also means more motion transfer, which isn’t ideal for couples.
Plushbeds Botanical Bliss Video Review
Watch the video below to see how the Plushbeds Botanical Bliss performed when put to the test in our lab.
Sleeping Style and Body Weight
Note that PlushBeds’ firmness names are slightly different from our firmness ratings for them. The “Medium” option rates at a medium firm (6 out of 10 ) and the “Med-Firm” option rates at a firm (7).
Side Sleepers
The PlushBeds Botanical Bliss Mattress can deliver above-average support to the majority of side sleepers. While latex doesn’t have deep contouring, it has enough cushioning for the hips and shoulders while resisting excess sinkage.
In our testing, side sleepers under 230 pounds received better support from the medium firm (6) Botanical Bliss. They tended to feel that the firm (7) model lacked the ability to accommodate their pressure points.
The reverse was true for side sleepers over 230 pounds. They preferred the firm (7) model for its ability to keep them from sinking too deeply into the top layers of the mattress.
Back Sleepers
The back sleepers on our team were impressed with the performance of the Botanical Bliss. Back sleepers who weigh over 130 pounds had great things to say about how the firm (7) mattress kept their body in an even posture while still lightly cushioning their area around their lower back.
People who weigh under 130 pounds preferred the medium firm (6) model, which had a bit less pushback, allowing them to settle in more comfortably.
Stomach Sleepers
During our testing, stomach sleepers of every weight said that they preferred the firm (7) Botanical Bliss. It was especially well-reviewed by those who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds.
An advantage of the Botanical Bliss for stomach sleepers is that latex is responsive and sturdy, which keeps them from getting stuck in place or feeling swallowed by the mattress. The firmer feel also kept the midsection supported and in line with the rest of the spine.
Mattress Performance
In addition to the hands-on feedback from our team, we conduct a number of quantitative tests in our Test Lab. The below ratings are based on the experience of our testers.
Plushbeds Botanical Bliss Mattress Review Breakdown
The PlushBeds Botanical Bliss is a latex mattress, and its interior construction varies slightly by which mattress thickness level you select.
Every version of this mattress begins with an organic cotton cover with a layer of organic wool beneath it.
Beneath the cotton cover and wool layer, all three profile options also have a top layer of natural Talalay latex. This type of latex is bouncier and feels slightly softer than Dunlop latex.
In the 12-inch model, the Talalay latex layer is 2 inches tall, and there’s also a 3-inch layer of GOLS-certified Dunlop latex beneath it in the comfort system. The 9-inch and 10-inch models only have Talalay latex in the comfort system.
All of the models have a 6-inch support core made with latex created using the Dunlop process and certified organic according to the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS).
For every model of the mattress, you have the option of a firmness level that feels medium firm (6) or firm (7). Regardless of the firmness, the mattress has plenty of bounce and light contouring to soften impact around pressure points.

PlushBeds Botanical Bliss Mattress Sizes
The Botanical Bliss is available in all of the standard mattress sizes as well as split queen, split king, and split California king sizes. The split sizes can be purchased with a different firmness level in each piece. The mattress is available in 9-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch heights, with higher prices for the taller models.
Trial, Warranty, and Shipping Policies
The PlushBeds Botanical Bliss is available to customers throughout the United States and internationally. It is only sold online through the PlushBeds website.
Shipping is free to customers in the 48 contiguous U.S. states. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or international addresses is available for an additional fee.
The mattress will arrive at your front door in a box. Inside, the mattress is sealed in plastic. Because of the weight of the latex, you may need two or three people to safely move the box inside and set up your mattress.
To install the Botanical Bliss, you only need to remove the packaging, which allows the mattress to expand to its full size.
Each mattress is made to order, so it may take up to nine business days for your order to ship. It should arrive within a week after shipping.
For an additional fee, you can get White Glove delivery through a third party, which includes setup of the mattress in your bedroom. If you need your old mattress to be removed, you can also pay extra for that service.
The Botanical Bliss Mattress comes with a 100-night sleep trial. There is a 30-night break-in period during which you cannot return the mattress.
If you request a return, you will get a refund of your purchase price. However, you will either have to coordinate and pay for return shipping on your own or pay PlushBeds $149 to pick up the mattress.
In addition to the sleep trial, PlushBeds offers a 100-night comfort exchange program. During this time, you can contact PlushBeds and receive a free, new latex layer to swap with an existing layer in your mattress in order to make it softer or firmer.
PlushBeds offers a 25-year warranty covering defects in materials and manufacturing. During the first 10 years, the company will repair or replace a mattress with a covered defect. You have to pay for shipping and handling, but PlushBeds will cover all other costs.
Beginning in the 11th year, you must pay a percentage of the original price for any defective mattress that needs to be replaced. This percentage starts at 50% in the 11th year and increases 3% for each year after that.
