The Botanical Bliss is made with latex, cotton, and wool materials that are all certified organic. The mattress comes in three profiles — 9-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch — each of which is available in medium firm (6) and firm (7) firmness options.

How the PlushBeds Botanical Bliss Scored
Motion Isolation6.0/10
Our testers found that there was clearly noticeable motion transfer on the PlushBeds Botanical Bliss mattress. Bouncy Talalay latex in the top layer means that you’ll feel when your bed partner gets in and out of their side of the bed.
Of the two firmness options, the medium firm (6) model transfers less motion. On either version, though, the vibrations from movement aren’t significant enough to wake up the average sleeper. Most couples can share this mattress without disturbing each other’s sleep.
Jeremy Klein, Product Testing Manager: With the bounce of latex, it is pretty much a given that some vibrations will travel across the mattress surface. But unless you’re a really light sleeper, you’ll probably sleep through it.

Latex mattresses offer significantly less body-conforming than memory foam, and the PlushBeds Botanical Bliss is no different. For some sleepers, that can mean less cushioning for heavier parts of the body.
However, some people actually like that you don’t sink down into the Botanical Bliss. For that reason, the overall rating across our team showed an average level of pressure relief. The key was for sleepers to choose the firmness level that best suited their body shape and sleep posture.
Brad Nehring, Product Testing Manager: For sleeping on my back, I liked the gentle and mild contouring of the Botanical Bliss. But it doesn’t have the same ability to accommodate sharp pressure points that you’d find in a memory foam mattress.

Few mattresses offer as much temperature neutrality as the PlushBeds Botanical Bliss. Its exterior materials of cotton and wool are breathable and moisture-wicking, and the latex layers retain almost no heat. On top of that, the limited contouring means there’s plenty of room for air to flow over your skin and keep you from overheating.
Logan Foley, Executive Product Director: This mattress sleeps remarkably cool. We didn’t really find any heat buildup, so it’s a great choice for people whose body temperature tends to run hot.
Edge Support7.0/10
The PlushBeds Botanical Bliss provides significant edge support, especially compared to a memory foam mattress. Generally speaking, latex sinks less and provides more pushback than foam.
There’s a touch more edge support on the firm (7) model, but you can confidently use the entire mattress surface on either version of the Botanical Bliss without a risk of the edges buckling.
Jeremy Klein, Product Testing Manager: I didn’t have any problems with edge support on the Botanical Bliss. Even though there’s a little bit of sink, it’s less than what you’ll find on most other kinds of mattresses. For me, it wasn’t nearly enough sink to affect my comfort or stability.

Moving on the surface of the Botanical Bliss is almost completely free of resistance. The springiness of the latex layers contributes to smooth, easy movement. It’s a dramatic difference compared to mattresses that have a lot of contouring or sink.
Logan Foley, Executive Product Director: When I wanted to move in bed or get out of bed, I could almost feel the mattress giving me a little extra push. Its bouncy feel makes this one of the best options for ease of movement.

The PlushBeds Botanical Bliss earns a perfect durability score thanks to its high-end latex construction. It features both Talalay and Dunlop latex in its comfort layer and an additional six inches of Dunlop latex in the support layer. This material is superior to foam in terms of durability. Though you should expect about 10 years out of this mattress, you can extend the life even further by going with the firmer feel and thicker profile.

Both models of the Botanical Bliss felt a touch too firm for me, especially since the latex doesn’t really conform to your body that much. Although it’s nice that you can move easily on the mattress, that also means more motion transfer, which isn’t ideal for couples.

The PlushBeds Botanical Bliss Mattress can deliver above-average support to the majority of side sleepers. While latex doesn’t have deep contouring, it has enough cushioning for the hips and shoulders while resisting excess sinkage.
In our testing, side sleepers under 230 pounds received better support from the medium firm (6) Botanical Bliss. They tended to feel that the firm (7) model lacked the ability to accommodate their pressure points.
The reverse was true for side sleepers over 230 pounds. They preferred the firm (7) model for its ability to keep them from sinking too deeply into the top layers of the mattress.
Back Sleepers
The back sleepers on our team were impressed with the performance of the Botanical Bliss. Back sleepers who weigh over 130 pounds had great things to say about how the firm (7) mattress kept their body in an even posture while still lightly cushioning their area around their lower back.
People who weigh under 130 pounds preferred the medium firm (6) model, which had a bit less pushback, allowing them to settle in more comfortably.
Stomach Sleepers
During our testing, stomach sleepers of every weight said that they preferred the firm (7) Botanical Bliss. It was especially well-reviewed by those who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds.
An advantage of the Botanical Bliss for stomach sleepers is that latex is responsive and sturdy, which keeps them from getting stuck in place or feeling swallowed by the mattress. The firmer feel also kept the midsection supported and in line with the rest of the spine.

The PlushBeds Botanical Bliss is available to customers throughout the United States and internationally. It is only sold online through the PlushBeds website.
Shipping
Shipping is free to customers in the 48 contiguous U.S. states. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or international addresses is available for an additional fee.
The mattress will arrive at your front door in a box. Inside, the mattress is sealed in plastic. Because of the weight of the latex, you may need two or three people to safely move the box inside and set up your mattress.
To install the Botanical Bliss, you only need to remove the packaging, which allows the mattress to expand to its full size.
Each mattress is made to order, so it may take up to nine business days for your order to ship. It should arrive within a week after shipping.
Additional Services
For an additional fee, you can get White Glove delivery through a third party, which includes setup of the mattress in your bedroom. If you need your old mattress to be removed, you can also pay extra for that service.
Sleep Trial
The Botanical Bliss Mattress comes with a 100-night sleep trial. There is a 30-night break-in period during which you cannot return the mattress.
If you request a return, you will get a refund of your purchase price. However, you will either have to coordinate and pay for return shipping on your own or pay PlushBeds $149 to pick up the mattress.
In addition to the sleep trial, PlushBeds offers a 100-night comfort exchange program. During this time, you can contact PlushBeds and receive a free, new latex layer to swap with an existing layer in your mattress in order to make it softer or firmer.
Warranty
PlushBeds offers a 25-year warranty covering defects in materials and manufacturing. During the first 10 years, the company will repair or replace a mattress with a covered defect. You have to pay for shipping and handling, but PlushBeds will cover all other costs.
Beginning in the 11th year, you must pay a percentage of the original price for any defective mattress that needs to be replaced. This percentage starts at 50% in the 11th year and increases 3% for each year after that.

Are PlushBeds mattresses good for heavy people?
Many PlushBeds mattresses feature natural latex or coil support cores built to support sleepers who weigh over 230 pounds. This is particularly true of the medium-firm and firm models, which allow less sink in order to keep the spine evenly aligned.
Latex mattresses and hybrids tend to be best for sleepers over 230 pounds, since these materials are more supportive than polyfoam or memory foam.
If you weigh over 230 pounds, we would recommend staying away from the softer PlushBeds models, as well as the mattresses with a profile under 10 inches thick, as these may not provide sufficient support.
Are PlushBeds mattresses worth the cost?
PlushBeds mattresses come with a hefty price tag, but if you’re looking for a mattress made with quality materials and built to last, you may find they’re worth the investment.
Most of the mattresses are made with primarily natural and organic materials such as latex, wool, and even cashmere and silk. These materials are known for their durability, meaning they’ll last longer before needing to be replaced. Eco-conscious shoppers or those who are concerned about synthetic chemicals in the bedroom may also appreciate the organic certifications.
PlushBeds does offer more affordable hybrid models that incorporate synthetic foams, and their price tags fall in line with competitors.
