Our testers who weigh over 230 pounds preferred the firm side. The latex alleviated pressure as well as it did for the sleepers under 130 pounds, but the firmer layers of foam prevented excessive sinking and kept their spine in alignment. Side sleepers between 130 and 230 pounds enjoyed both sides.
Back Sleepers
The Luxury 2-Sided Hybrid Latex Mattress performed well for most back sleepers on our testing team. Its combination of responsiveness and contouring provided a supportive and comfortable surface for sleepers across weight categories on the firm side as well as sleepers under 230 pounds on the medium side. The latex provides enough cushioning for the lower back without allowing so much sinkage that the spine falls out of alignment.
Our testers under 130 pounds preferred the medium side, while those above 130 pounds preferred the firm side. Back sleepers above 230 pounds gave the firm model outstanding marks for comfort and support.
Stomach Sleepers
Stomach sleepers need robust support to keep their midsection from sinking too far into the mattress. Our testing team found that the firm model was best suited to stomach sleepers who weigh above 130 pounds, as the medium side was too soft to promote proper spinal alignment. The latex layer has a buoyant quality that keeps the body positioned on top of the bed’s surface, and the pocketed coils further improve support by preventing the midsection from excessive sinkage.

The Amore Luxury 2-Sided Hybrid Latex Mattress has a flippable construction with two firmness options. The hybrid mattress has seven total layers and measures 13 inches tall.
Both sides of the Luxury 2-Sided Hybrid have a customizable cover and a layer of certified organic wool that acts as a natural fire barrier and helps draw heat away from the sleeper. Because the mattress is flippable, it has a comfort system on both sides separated by a shared support core. Both comfort systems feature natural Dunlop latex and polyfoam.
The layer of Dunlop latex is resilient and ventilated with small perforations that are designed to increase airflow. Next, a layer of open-cell polyfoam acts as a transitional layer between the latex comfort system and the coil support core. The open-cell polyfoam is engineered to further reduce heat retention by allowing air to move through the foam.
The mattress’ support core features 8 inches of pocketed coils that are individually wrapped and reinforced around the perimeter. The coils are made from highly durable, tempered steel that’s engineered to be flexible and responsive without sacrificing support.
Amore offers three different cover options. The standard cover consists of soft and breathable organic cotton. Sleepers who prefer cooling technology can upgrade to the copper-infused rayon cover, which is designed to better regulate temperature. Each mattress is made to order, which takes about two to four business days. Shipping times range between two and five business days. Most mattresses are made and delivered within nine days of placing an order.
