SHEEX produces a collection of performance fabric bedding with moisture-wicking and temperature-regulating qualities. The two founders, college basketball coaches Michelle Brook-Marciniak and Susan Walvius, were inspired to create bedding with the same benefits of high performance activewear. SHEEX bedding is designed to be highly breathable, stretchy, and wrinkle-resistant. The company has expanded beyond its original sheet sets to include pillows, duvets, comforters, mattress toppers, sleepwear, and accessories in its product line.
We’ll take a closer look at the SHEEX sheet collections offered today. The Original Performance collection is made with microfiber polyester and spandex for breathability and stretch. The Arctic Aire Max set is woven with Tencel lyocell for a silky smooth feel, while the Midnight Label collection features knit nylon and spandex fabric. SHEEX also offers the Active Comfort collection, featuring a soft and stretchy blend of polyester and spandex.
Each sheet collection is sold as a set and produced in standard sizes to accommodate twin through California king size mattresses. Our comprehensive SHEEX sheets review includes details of the construction and performance of each set. We’ll break down the sizes and available color options, in addition to instructions on how to clean and care for your SHEEX sheets. Lastly, we’ll review the company’s shipping, return, and warranty policies.

SHEEX Sheets Review Breakdown
SHEEX sheets are made with high-performance materials that provide many of the same temperature-regulating benefits as activewear. The innovative fabrication of SHEEX sets results in a different feel than you might expect, especially if you typically use cotton bedding. SHEEX sheets have more stretch, allowing the fitted sheet to conform closely to the mattress. The sheets resist wrinkling for a smooth, silky look.
We’ll take a look at the key characteristics of SHEEX bed sheets here, including the materials, sizing, and color options.
Materials and Construction
Though each SHEEX collection is designed to keep sleepers cool, there are variations in the materials and fabrication used. This results in a unique feel and weight for each sheet set, which shoppers should consider before making a purchase.
Original Performance
The Original Performance sheets have a knit fabrication that is 87% polyester and 13% spandex. The fibers wick away moisture and evaporate it quickly to keep hot sleepers and those in humid climates dry and comfortable. Spandex adds stretch to the sheets and the fitted sheet conforms to the shape and size of the mattress. Those with athletic lifestyles and shoppers who wear activewear will find the SHEEX sheets feel familiar, as the fabrication is modeled after performance activewear. The fabric has a light sheen and a silky drape to it, but the soft sheets can catch on dry skin (such as calluses) and could pill over time. The Original Performance sheets are available in 12 colors.
Studio Tech
The Studio Tech sheets are made with an 87% polyester and 13% spandex fabrication. This is the only set that does not include a flat sheet. Rather, it is a European style set that includes a duvet cover instead. Like a top sheet, a duvet cover can be washed regularly. The performance fabric used for the Studio Tech collection is also moisture-wicking and breathable, so we recommend it for hot sleepers. The stretchy fabrication can snag, and it’s not for those who want crisp, cotton sheets. That said, the sheets are soft and durable. They are offered in two solid colors and three two-tone colors.
Arctic Aire Max
The Arctic Aire Max sheets are made with 100% Tencel lyocell. The 300 thread count sateen weave adds a sheen and softness to the sheets. A sateen weave typically includes three strands over and one strand under, which adds luster to the sheets but can expose more threads to snagging. Tencel lyocell is made with cellulose fibers and is considered to be environmentally friendly. It wicks moisture, allowing it to evaporate quickly and helping to prevent the growth of bacteria. The Arctic Aire Max sheets are not as stretchy as other SHEEX collections, but are still lightweight and breathable to keep sleepers cool. Shoppers have their choice of eight colors.
Luxury Copper
The Luxury Copper collection is knit with 90% polyester infused with copper and 10% spandex. The soft Pro+Ionic copper fabric has a soft feel and nice drape. Benefits of copper include temperature regulation and reduced odor and bacteria. The Luxury Copper sheets allow for plenty of airflow, and the moisture-wicking fabric keeps hot sleepers comfortable. The circular knit results in a smooth, silky feel. There is less spandex used in this collection, but the sheets are still stretchy and conforming. The Luxury Copper collection is available in eight colors.
ECOSHEEX Bamboo
The ECOSHEEX Bamboo sheets are durable and soft, with a 100% viscose from bamboo fabrication. Bamboo is a renewable resource, so these can be a good choice for eco-conscious shoppers. The sateen weave adds a nice sheen and silky feel to the sheets. These bamboo sheets are highly absorbent, so they wick away and evaporate moisture to keep sweating sleepers comfortable. The fabrication is breathable and cooling. ECOSHEEX Bamboo sheets are not as stretchy as other SHEEX sets, but they do get softer with each wash. Purchasers should carefully follow the care instructions, as these sheets can pill.
Prices and Sizing
SHEEX sheets generally cost a bit more than the average sheet set. The higher price-point of SHEEX sheets reflects the quality of the performance fabrics used. The stretchy fabrication of SHEEX sheets ensures they fit a range of mattress sizes and profiles, and each fitted sheet has a sturdy elastic band for added security. SHEEX bed sheets are sold in sets, and the pieces included in each set are comparable to similar brands.
The Original Performance collection is available in twin/twin XL, full, queen, king/California king, and split king sizes. The Studio Tech collection is offered in twin/twin XL, full/queen, and king/California king sizes. All other sets come in twin, full, queen, king, and California king sizes.
Each set includes one fitted sheet, one flat sheet, and one or two pillowcases, with the exception of the Studio Tech set, which does not include a flat sheet but does come with either one or two shams and a duvet cover.
Separates
In addition to SHEEX sets, shoppers can purchase items from the Original Performance collection separately. This includes pillowcases, fitted sheets, flat sheets, duvet covers, and box spring wraps.

Care and Cleaning
Proper care and cleaning extends the lifespan of bed sheets, and it is essential for purchasers to follow any care instructions provided by the manufacturer. Some materials will require special attention.
SHEEX sheets are durable and they are designed to resist fading and shrinking. The knit styles are wrinkle resistant and they will not need to be ironed. Though these sheets hold up with regular washing, the care instructions should be followed to prevent pilling, snagging, or other damage.
The Original Performance sheets can be machine washed on the regular cycle with cold water, but do not use bleach or fabric softener. Tumble dry the sheets with low heat, but do not use fabric dryer sheets. The same care instructions apply for the Studio Tech and Luxury Copper collections.
The Arctic Aire Maxe sheets should be machine washed with cold water before use. Be sure to wash dark colors separately, and do not use bleach or fabric softener. Tumble dry with low heat and remove immediately to prevent wrinkling. You should not use dryer sheets for this collection, either. The Arctic Aire Max sheets can be ironed with a warm iron if necessary. The ECOSHEEX Bamboo collection has the same care instructions.
Since all of the SHEEX sheets can be machine washed and dried, they are low maintenance. Fabric softeners and dryer sheets can change the feel and performance of the sheets, so it is important to avoid those. The fabrication of the Luxury Copper and ECOSHEEX Bamboo collections can help resist odors and bacteria. In general, bed sheets should be washed once a week.
