Since 2007, Cariloha has manufactured a range of bedding, mattresses, bath towels, and other bamboo-derived products. The company puts an emphasis on sustainable production, and offsets the carbon emissions for each product by investing in climate-friendly policies. Currently, Cariloha offers four sheet sets: Classic Bamboo, Resort, Resort Percale, and Aloha Soft.
Each of the Cariloha sheet sets is made with viscose derived from bamboo cellulose, which is known for being soft to the touch. Customers can choose from three different weaves: sateen, percale, and twill, each of which offers distinct properties. The sheets are available in a range of island-inspired colors.
We’ll break down the performance, construction, material, pricing, and care instructions of the Cariloha sheet sets to help you make an educated decision.

Cariloha Sheets Review Breakdown
Cariloha currently sells four sheet sets. All four are made with bamboo-derived viscose, with variations in the weave and thread count that affect the weight, feel, and look of the sheets. Color options and sizes also vary by line.
The Cariloha sheet sets are considered luxury sheets with corresponding price-points, although there are slight differences in pricing depending on the style. After analyzing the construction of each sheet set, we’ll take a closer look at why certain sheet sets are more expensive than others. We’ll also discuss how to care for your sheets so you can get the most for your money.
Materials and Construction
Cariloha sheets are made exclusively with viscose derived from bamboo, a soft and breathable fabric that wicks moisture away from the sleeper to help reduce heat buildup.
Bamboo is a fast-growing plant that requires little irrigation. Cariloha’s bamboo-based fabrics are made using a closed-loop process to recover as much of the processing solution as possible. Cariloha sheets are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, meaning they have been tested and found free of harmful chemicals.
Classic Bamboo: The Classic Bamboo Sheet Set features a twill weave, which is a durable weave with a repeating diagonal pattern. With a thread count of 230, these sheets are an excellent option for those who sleep hot or live in a warm climate. Compared to other weaves, twill is fairly resistant to wrinkling.
Resort Bamboo: Cariloha’s Resort Bamboo Sheets are made from a one-under, four-over sateen weave with a 400 thread count. The result is a thicker sheet with a soft and luxurious feel. Of the Cariloha sheets, the Resort Sheet Set may be the best choice for those who occasionally feel cold at night or who live in cooler areas.
Resort Percale: Percale sheets tend to be favored by hot sleepers, as this one-over, one-under weave is highly breathable. The Resort Percale Sheet Set is designed to offer a cooler night’s sleep and a crisp feel. Percale is also one of the more durable weaves, so these sheets should make a good long-term investment.
Aloha Soft: With a similar construction to the Classic Bamboo Set, the Aloha Soft Sheet Set was originally designed for Costco and can now be purchased from Cariloha directly. Aside from the darker color choices, the major difference between the Classic Bamboo and the Aloha Soft is the location in which they are manufactured. The Aloha Soft Set is made in China, still of 230 thread count bamboo viscose, while the Classic Bamboo Set is made in Turkey.
Prices and Sizing
Pricing for the Cariloha sheets is comparable to other bamboo-derived sheet sets. The Resort Bamboo and Resort Percale Sheets have a steeper price-point due to the higher thread count and more sophisticated construction.
Twin and twin XL sheets are priced identically, as are king and California king sheets. The sheet sets contain the necessary pillowcases according to mattress size. Twin and twin XL sets include one fitted sheet, one top sheet, and one pillowcase. Larger sizes include a fitted sheet, top sheet, and two pillowcases. Split king sets come with two twin XL fitted sheets, one top sheet, and two pillowcases.
The fitted and flat sheets are not sold separately. However, pillowcases can be bought in sets of two for the Resort Bamboo, Classic Bamboo, and Aloha Soft lines.

Care and Cleaning
On average, sheets last between 1 and 5 years, depending on the quality of the materials. Cariloha Sheets are fairly durable when properly cared for. Following the manufacturer’s care instructions for washing and drying the sheets can help prevent unintentional damage and extend their lifespan.
Cariloha sheets are machine-washable. Because viscose from bamboo is prone to minor shrinking, Cariloha recommends washing the sheets in cold water on the gentle cycle and drying them on low heat. Avoid using bleach or fabric softener, and do not wash the sheets together with items that include closures such as zippers or buttons. Line drying the sheets may help them last longer.
Most experts recommend washing your sheets about once a week to keep them clean and fresh. It may help to have more than one set of sheets and switch them out on laundry days.
