Phillips is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. She directs the Sleep Center at the University of Kentucky Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.

Additionally, Dr. Phillips serves on the Board of Regents of the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), on the Medical Advisory Board of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration of the Department of Transportation, and as Chair of the Steering Committee of the Sleep Institute of the ACCP. She is immediate past-chairman of the National Sleep Foundation, and has served on the boards of the American Lung Association, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the American Board of Sleep Medicine. She has received a Sleep Academic Award from the National Institutes of Health and has served on the advisory board to the National Center on Sleep Disorders Research.

James Pagel, MS/MD , is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency program in Pueblo Colorado and Medical Director of the Sleep Disorders Center of Southern Colorado (Pueblo) and Sleepworks (Colorado Springs). His masters degree from UAB (1973) was a study of sleep neuropharmacology. He has authored AASM training programs on OSA, infant, pediatric and adolescent sleep, as well as on sleep in women, and serves as AAFP representative to the AIM Sleep Medicine Certification examination board. He has more than 100 publications in the field including several recent books: Primary Care Sleep Disorders: A Practical Guide, Humana Press (2007); The Limits of Dream – A Scientific Exploration of the Mind / Brain Interface, Academic Press (2008); and Dreams and Nightmares, Sleep Medicine Review (2010).

Jodi A. Mindell, PhD is a professor of psychology at Saint Joseph’s University and of pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. In addition to teaching and research, she is Associate Director of the Sleep Disorders Center at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
