Sleep centers are locations where adults and children can take different types of sleep studies. One of the most common studies is known as polysomnography, during which doctors and sleep consultants observe patients while they sleep and document their sleep patterns. Patients may also undergo multiple sleep latency tests, or MSLTs, which measure how long it takes them to fall asleep after getting into bed.
